What Activities are You Involved In?

At school I am involved in intramural sports. I am also a member of the Architectural Engineering Institute, American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Society of Leadership and Success.

What Brought You to ARCO?

What brought me to ARCO was the excellent recruiting program combined with the awesome culture I saw within it's employees. ARCO showed much interest in me and was willing to take a chance on my abilities. With that being said, I then knew I wanted to accept the "work hard, play hard" challenge and join the ARCO family.

What is a Typical Day Like for an ARCO Co-Op?

A typical day as an ARCO co-op involves walking into the office, giving a greeting to your coworkers, perhaps catching up from the weekend and getting to work! Day to day responsibilities are the same as a Project Manager. This involves anything from calling and making relationships with subcontractors to putting an estimate together. As my time as a co-op progresses, I find myself becoming more involved in projects and receiving more advanced tasks. Not to mention, weekly job site visits are encouraged!

What is the Best Advice You Have Ever Received?

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

If You Could Give Advice to Future Co-Ops, What Would it Be?

If you want to work for the best, you need to show up with a positive attitude and perform like the best. It's okay to make mistakes, just don't make the same one twice. Before taking on a task take a minute to think about the most efficient way of doing it. Get yourself involved with as much as possible and get to know your coworkers.

What is On Your Bucket List?

I want to go sky diving and to take a week long rafting trip down the Colorado River.
