ARCO St. Louis office recently concluded the construction process for the Maryville University Hockey Center, located in Chesterfield, Missouri. Owned by the Chesterfield Hockey Association, the 84,000 SF facility includes two NHL sized hockey rinks, which seat ±2,000 spectators along with a second floor viewing platform. Other amenities such as locker rooms, offices and conference rooms are also included in the facility.
Maryville University is the largest leaseholder for the ice complex which will house both the men’s and women’s hockey teams for the university. In addition, the university is also entered into a five-year agreement for naming rights over the facility.
Construction for the new facility began in fall of 2018 and concluded in August 2019. Through charitable contributions, bank financing, and funding from the Chesterfield Valley Transportation Development District, the $21.5 million ice complex came to life. Throughout the construction process, ARCO St. Louis office has developed the project into a versatile facility that will be utilized by numerous teams in the Chesterfield area.
Along with the facility being occupied by Maryville University and the Chesterfield Hockey Association, high schools such as Chaminade College Preparatory School, Saint Louis Priory, Marquette, LaFayette and Parkway West High Schools will also have access to practice at the facility.
