Transitional Care of Bakersfield
SKILLED NURSING FACILITY IN BAKERSFIELD, CA
Designed for Transitional Care of Bakersfield, this project is an 60,000-square-foot, 142 bed skilled nursing facility.
This project consists of an approximately 60,000 SF skilled nursing facility providing 142 beds designed to support both transitional care and sub-acute services. The facility includes 116 transitional care beds and a dedicated 26-bed sub-acute wing, with separate entrances provided for each care area to improve patient flow and operational efficiency.
The building incorporates both interior and exterior therapy spaces, including dedicated therapy courtyards, to support physical rehabilitation and resident wellness. The facility is part of a larger continuing care retirement community (CCRC) that also includes an 80-bed assisted living and memory care facility, creating a comprehensive senior care campus with multiple levels of care.
Constructed under California state healthcare regulations, the project required coordination of specialized healthcare systems, life safety requirements, and patient-focused design. The facility was engineered to provide a durable, code-compliant environment that supports rehabilitation, long-term care, and efficient healthcare operations.
